The Welsh 3000s
The 15 Peaks
Three mountain ranges. Fifteen summits. One extraordinary journey through Eryri.

There is something rather special about looking across these mountains and knowing that, before your challenge is over, you will have stood on every one of their 3,000-foot summits.
Â
The Welsh 3000s takes you through three very different mountain landscapes — from the dramatic ridges of the Yr Wyddfa massif, across the rocky, other-worldly terrain of the Glyderau, and finally onto the great sweeping mountains of the Carneddau.

Each summit has its own character. Some seem to arrive quickly. Others make you work considerably harder for them. Together, they create one of Britain's great mountain journeys.

People have been taking on versions of this challenge for more than a century. Walkers and runners have tested themselves against these mountains, with the fastest completing them at almost unimaginable speed.
In 2019, fell runner Finlay Wild completed the challenge in an extraordinary 4 hours, 10 minutes and 48 seconds. Don't worry — we won't be asking you to do that!

For us, the Welsh 3000s isn't about chasing records. It's about experiencing an extraordinary landscape, taking on a genuine mountain challenge and discovering just how much you can achieve when you keep putting one foot in front of the other.

These are the 15 peaks waiting for you…
