BHW Mountaineering Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Client Cancellations

 

All cancellation requests must be sent in writing via email to adventure@bhwmountaineering.co.uk.

 

If you need to cancel your booking, the following charges apply:

• More than 30 days before course start date: Full refund (minus a 10% administrative fee).

• 14 to 30 days before course start date: 50% refund.

• Less than 14 days before course start date: Non-refundable.

Note: If you wish to transfer your booking to another available date, please contact us as soon as possible. Transfers requested more than 14 days prior to the start date will be accommodated where possible.

2. Cancellations by BHW Mountaineering

​

Outdoor activities are inherently subject to weather and terrain conditions.

​

• Safety & Weather: If a session must be cancelled prior to commencement due to severe or dangerous weather conditions, instructor illness, or safety concerns, you will be offered the option to reschedule to a mutually agreed date.

• Minimum Numbers: On open group courses, we reserve the right to cancel if minimum participant numbers are not met. You will be notified as early as possible and offered a full refund or alternative date.

 

Please Note: BHW Mountaineering is not responsible for any indirect or personal expenses incurred (such as non-refundable accommodation or transport costs) as a result of a course cancellation.
 

3. Weather & Course Cancellations
 

• Courses Go Ahead in Most Weather: Outdoor courses will run in all typical weather conditions, including rain, wind, and mist. Please ensure you arrive with suitable clothing and gear appropriate for the forecasted conditions.
  
  Please Note: BHW Mountaineering is not responsible for any indirect personal expenses (such as non-refundable travel or accommodation) incurred as a result of a course cancellation. We strongly advise taking out personal travel/activity insurance to cover such eventualities.

4. Personal Insurance

Because outdoor activities carry inherent risks and weather can be unpredictable, we strongly recommend that all participants take out personal insurance covering cancellation, travel, and activity participation.

5. How Refunds Are Processed

​

Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method within 14 business days.
