Your first mountain summit is something you’ll always remember. Wild Day – Summit is a guided mountain walk in North Wales designed to help you take that next step into the mountains and experience the achievement of reaching a summit. Wild Day – Summit is designed to help you take that next step into the mountains, with a full day to explore, learn and work towards standing on top of one of North Wales’ beautiful peaks. Along the way, we’ll introduce simple navigation skills, help you understand the landscape around you and share practical tips that will make you feel more confident in the hills. We’ll choose a route that suits the group and take the day at a comfortable pace, with plenty of time to enjoy being out in the mountains. And then comes the best bit — reaching the summit. By the end of the day, you won’t simply have climbed a mountain. You’ll have gained practical skills, greater confidence and hopefully the beginnings of a whole new collection of mountain adventures. No previous mountain experience is needed. Just bring your enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and perhaps a little determination for the uphill bits! What You’ll Need You don’t need lots of specialist mountain kit to join us, but you will need to come prepared for a full day outdoors. Please bring: • Walking boots or sturdy walking shoes with good grip • Waterproof jacket and waterproof trousers • Warm layers — even when the valley feels warm, mountain summits can be chilly • A small rucksack • Lunch, snacks and enough water for the day • Hat and gloves • Any personal medication you may need • Sun cream and a sun hat when the forecast calls for it We’ll send you a full kit list and joining information before your adventure, so don’t worry if you’re unsure about anything. Need some kit? Please ask us. We may be able to help with some items or suggest affordable options — not having all the gear shouldn’t be the thing that stops you getting into the mountains.
